Share your love of history and architecture by training to be a docent. Be a welcoming ambassador for our National Historic Landmark. Help conduct guided tours of the Jay Estate’s historic buildings and landscape. Assistance also needed during the year for lectures, exhibits and children’s events. 4 hours of basic training in materials related to the site and methods for giving a meaningful tour.
- Jay Day! Fall Family Festival and part of the Hudson River Valley Ramble (One day volunteer opportunity, September 23, 2018, 9am – 4pm)
Volunteers needed to staff event tables event set-up, admissions tables, craft activities and much more. Highlights include live music from Bach to Rock, Sweet Silhouette artist Varin Acevado, book signings with best selling Scholastic Dragon Masters author Tracey West, Olympians author George O’Connor, a farmers market, the Bubble Bus, craft vendors, Pied Piper Pony Rides, historical house tours.
